[ Two things do occur to him upon heading out to his "date": first, he probably should know better than to gossip about his latest endeavors with a lady; and, second, he should know better than to take a lady out about town without a chaperone.
And yet, here he is anyway.
Truthfully, his conversations with Stella were often the highlight of his week (or month, if they were both too busy). It was fun to have someone to share these things with, and he hadn't been nearly so close with anyone since his days at Oxford. The fact she was a lady didn't change the quality of their conversation, and she was never too embarrassed by the things he brought up.
He would just have to hope that she was not Lady Whistledown! Though considering these things never made it in her papers, he's got a fairly good education guess that she was not.
So he meets up with her at a cute little cafe, and he's definitely the second one there as he's sort of perpetually running late these days. But he takes off his hat and smiles when he sees her. ]
[Stella is a Lady of the ton in so much that she is 'from' a wealthy landowning family and she just happened to have been studying in Greece for several years. It helps to explain her less formal attitude.
She enjoys talking with Anthony, he is quite fun and she likes hearing about the trouble the men of the town get up to.]
Good afternoon, my Lord
[She loves to play with formality when she meets up with him. As if they maintain much decorum in their conversations.]
